Great views will accompany you as you travel this dirt road up through logged portions of the forest. The lack of trees in sections create spectacular vistas to of the Cascade Mountains and Glacier Peak.

Go left out of the parking area following road #111. In 2 miles go left onto road #6304 at the intersection. Continue on the main road (ignore the spurs) and at 4.3 miles you will come to a high point. As you start to descend from this high point go left on an unmarked spur trail to the left. Follow to a gravel road #111 (unmarked) and go left. As you pass a gate stay on the main road until you reach an intersection and go left on road #6305. Enjoy the downhill for 3.5 miles and go left on road #111 (this turn off is not very distinguishable; you know you’ve gone too far if you arrive at the paved road #6300).
Fees/Permits Needed: None
Leave It Better Than You Found It: This should be every outdoor user’s goal. Pick up trash left by others, pull noxious weeds along your route, disperse old fire rings (they encourage more fires), throw branches over spur trails and spurs between switchbacks (make it harder to do the wrong thing than the right thing).
