The moon dust is here but the shredding is still good! Sprinkles this weekend may bring the dust down. Did you know some trails should be ridden one way? People should consider avoiding hiking up some downhill mountain bike trails...Rosy Boa trail is one of the trails to avoid hiking on so you don’t potentially get hit by a mountain biker flying past. The heat has returned! Get out your water wings, kayaks, SUPs, rafts and inner tubes. Yesterday was a beautiful day to do some exploring along the Columbia River and take a dip in the refreshingly cold water. While the Wenatchee River was running pretty fast yesterday. Don’t forget to play it safe and use a PFD along with choose your river locale wisely. You can also download the Chelan PUD “Current” App for real time water levels. Happy floating!

We sure enjoy the splendor of a good logging road for biking, walking, snowshoeing and skiing. In our opinion logging roads are underutilized in our country for the adventure opportunities they provide. Just make sure you are on public land and have a epic journey.

The Lake Lenore Caves provide a great opportunity

The Lake Lenore Caves provide a great opportunity for shoulder season recreation for people of all ages. Make it a day trip from the Wenatchee Valley and drive a loop east on Hwy 2, south on Hwy 17, and west on Hwy 28 to return. The drive will take you through varying landscapes shaped by the glacial floods of Lake Missoula. Other points of interest to explore in the same day are Dry Falls and the Sun Lakes area.
