After the short film Nick will provide first hand knowledge for Question and Answer and time permitting\, will also discuss the Hanford Reach national monument and the REACH interpretive Center. \n“A lot of the people come here with a lot of questions\,\nand a lot of people come here with some concerns.”\nRich Buel\, Department of Energy\n\nThis quote by Rich Buel\, a Department of Energy employee\, summarizes a common public view of the Hanford site in southeastern Washington State.\n\nMany in the Pacific Northwest region are aware the site exists; but what really happens in this “secret” place known as Hanford?  In response to these questions and concerns\, the Department of Energy created The Hanford Story\, a multi-media presentation of several chapters.  This documentary takes a look at a complex\, historical location and makes it understandable for the general public by providing an outline and basic information on the Hanford site.
