SUMMARY:Washington Native Conifers
DESCRIPTION:An identification workshop taught by Susan Ballinger. \nWinter is a great season to learn to identify native conifer trees that grow in Washington’s east side Cascade Mountains. Wenatchee Naturalist Designer and Instructor Susan Ballinger has designed this hands on workshop to introduce cones\, form\, needle and bark patterns\, and the natural history of each tree. Microscopes will be used to examine live samples of needles. You will have your own learning aids and take samples home.
