DESCRIPTION:When: Saturday\, January 12 2019 – Sunday\, January 13 2019\nWhere: Leavenworth\, WA \nStevens Pass will be hosting a Grom Playground in Leavenworth under the Christmas lights specially built for the little ones. Come join us after a day of skiing or playing in the snow in the town of Leavenworth for this great event. This event is held in the Front Street Park alongside a whole weekend of fun activities including sled dog rides\, ice sculptures\, games and more that the whole family can enjoy. \nStevens Pass Grom Playground is for Ages 3-7 and allows them to try snowboarding and skiing in our one of a kind playground.  Event is FREE to participate with a signed liability waiver (available) on site.  Sessions for the playground are an average of 30 minutes and will be on a first come first serve basis. \nSaturday\, January 12th \n10:00am- Registration Opens \n11:00am- 1:00pm – Grom Playground Sessions (average session 30 minutes) \n2:00pm-4:00pm – Grom Playground Sessions (average session 30 minutes) \n  \nSunday\, January 13th \n10:00am- Registration Opens \n11:00am-2:00pm – Grom Playground Sessions (average session 30 minutes)

SUMMARY:Snowshoe Hike at Lake Wenatchee!
DESCRIPTION:Washington State Parks invites the public to participate in family-friendly\, guided snowshoe hikes this winter at Lake Wenatchee State Park\, just 25 east of Stevens Pass. \nSnowshoe hikes start promptly at 1:00 p.m. \non the following dates: \n\nJan. 1\, 6\, 12\, 21\, 26\nFeb. 2\, 10\, 16\, 24\n\nMeet at the North Reservation Booth in the \nNorth Park: \n21588 State Route 207 \n                Leavenworth\, WA 98826 \nWhen: Snowshoers should arrive early enough to prepare for the 1:00 p.m. departure\, including obtaining snowshoe rentals if arranged ahead of time. \nWhat: This is a fantastic hike for first-timers in snowshoes\, or hikers looking for a mellow adventure through a frosty winter wonderland! The hike is easy-moderate with varying views\, plenty of opportunities for snowball fights and memorable photos. \nLength: Hike duration is dependent upon hiker preference: the shortest options is a 1.4 mile route\, the longest option is a 2.4+ mile loop. As a group\, we will stop at a designated intersection in order to orient those choosing the longer route\, while Park Staff will continue leading the shorter route. Each hike will take a halfway break at the North Beach for a group photo and chance to grab a snack and explore around. \nBring: layered clothing\, snowshoes\, poles\, boots\, snacks\, water and an adventurous spirit! \nFor more information about the snowshoe hikes\, call 509-763-3101. \nAll hikes are subject to cancelation due to inclement weather\, road access or trail concerns. Please call the park after 9:00 a.m. on the day of the hike for status updates. \nA limited number of snowshoes are available to rent\, please call ahead of time to reserve a pair. \n  \nParking permits\, passes required: \n\nDaily Sno-Park Permit and Discover Pass\n\nOR \n\nSeasonal Sno-Park Permit and Groomed Trail Sticker

SUMMARY:Lake Wen. State Park-Guided Snowshoe Hike
DESCRIPTION:Join Lake Wenatchee State Park staff every Saturday in January & February at 1pm as park staff guide you on a snowshoe hike through scenery along the Wenatchee River\, the shore of Lake Wenatchee\, and surrounding forest. Participants can enjoy a well-packed route through parts of our park that are not always accessible in summer. Expect some historical talking points about the park and views of Nason Ridge\, Dirty Face\, and South Beach. \nWhen: 1 Pm \nWhere: North Entrance by the reservation booth\, which is located 4.5 miles from HWY 2 on HWY 207/ Lake Wenatchee Highway. Meet just beyond the reservation station. \nName of trail: Lake Loop Snowshoe Trail \nLength of Hike: 2 mile loop full route\, shortcut option available \nDifficulty: Easy \nThings to know: Hike is subject to change dependent upon snow/weather conditions. Join us for our weekly Twilight Snowshoe Trek! \nThis fun\, informative\, guided snowshoe trek leaves from the Base Area and heads up to the Midway Lodge. There are several routes available and each trek is fitted to the group interests and abilities. \nSuggested Gear: \nBoots that fit well and offer good ankle support\, goggles\, gloves\, a winter hat\, coat\, snow pants & headlamp. \nPricing: \n$10 to register\, $17 to rent snowshoes. \nScheduling & Other Info: \nTours will take place every Saturday Evening from December 29th to February 23rd. \nGroups will congregate at 4:30 PM in front of the Hampton Lodge rental/retail office and will depart promptly at 5:00 PM.

The Mission Ridge Mountain Music Series is an all ages event.
