DESCRIPTION:The Wenatchee YMCA presents Paddle Week! \nJuly 22-26\, 2019: We are partnering with the Wenatchee Row and Paddle Club to provide skill-building lessons on the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers. Spend this week on the water learning how to canoe and kayak both as a team and going solo! \nEach morning\, we’ll learn from our team of avid paddlers in our community. In the afternoons\, use your budget to choose the activities you want to do most! Do you want to go bowling? See a movie? Grab a milkshake? It’s up to you! Extreme Teens is led by our Y staff team with the help of each week’s volunteer instructors. All transportation to and from activities is included. DESCRIPTION:An Evening with Jennifer Pharr Davis\, 2012 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year  \nJennifer Pharr Davis is a hiker\, author\, speaker\, and National Geographic Adventurer of the Year who has covered over 14\,000 miles of long distance trails on six different continents. \nIn 2011\, Davis has covered the 2\,185-mile Appalachian Trail in forty-six days\, eleven hours\, and twenty minutes\, maintaining a remarkable average of forty-seven miles per day. \nBy doing this\, she claimed the overall (male or female) fastest known time on the “A.T.” and became the first woman to set the mark. \nDavis has authored two books\, The Pursuit of Endurance and Becoming Odyssa. \nJoin us for an evening with Jennifer and hear about her trail adventures! \nJuly 25: Peshastin Public Library\, 6 p.m.  \nJuly 26: Pybus Public Market\, Wenatchee 7 p.m.
