DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the North Cascades Institute \nThis is an online class. \nInstructor Stuart Vazquez \nClass Tuition: $5 \nJoin us for a conversation with Stuart Vázquez\, founder and director of the Eco-Lógica Magazine educational project. For more than 20 years\, Stuart has followed the solid waste route to understand how to reduce waste generation. As a mountaineer and environmentalist\, Stuart includes proposals in his presentations that invite us to reflect and learn alternatives to reduce waste generation and its connection with the natural areas that we enjoy so much when we practice outdoor activities. \nThis conversation\, primarily shared in English\, will have Spanish weaved throughout so that both language speakers have a great experience. We will find that the connection with nature and outdoor activities is something personal that only you can experience in your own way and at your own pace\, without the need to spend large amounts of money. We will learn alternatives that can help us to reduce waste generation\, save resources\, and enjoy nature. \nWe will talk about the way in which solid waste\, as indicators of our consumption habits\, can give us ideas to reduce consumerism\, modify our lifestyles and move towards a more sustainable system that can help us reduce the impact of solid waste in the environment; one of the causes of climate change. \nIf you can’t make this specific date or time\, you can still register and we will send you a link to view the class on your own time!
