DESCRIPTION:Date Mon\, 08/02/2021\n\n\nTime 7:00am-11:00am\n\n\nLocation\nMountain Home Preserve\n\nMountain Home Preserve eBird Monitoring Project \nWould you like to spend a weekday morning hiking\, viewing wildlife\, wildflowers\, and snow-capped mountains\, while being part of a small team collecting bird species data?  Community Science Projects are collaborations between scientists and volunteers that expand opportunities for scientific data collection and help answer real-world questions. \nLearn more about becoming a CDLT citizen scientist volunteer by contacting Conservation Fellow\, Susan Ballinger at susan@cdlandtrust.org or call 509-667-9708. \nDates: Wednesday May 5\, Monday June 7\, Tuesday July 6\, Monday August 2. (September through November dates TBD.) \nMeet at 7:00 am at the entrance to the Preserve. We walk a 2.2-mile route\, stopping at 5 points to conduct 10-minute counts. \nPlease note: contact Susan by cell phone 24-hours ahead (509-669-7820) to confirm\, because changing weather conditions can result in canceling the route.

SUMMARY:Alpine Rippers
DESCRIPTION:Calling all kids ages 8-12! \nCome join us for a 5-day\, 3 hours a day\, mountain bike camp. The class will continue to develop more specific skills such as track stands\, front and rear wheel lifts\, and wheelies. We will also introduce rollers\, drops and beginning jumping. Be ready to ride trails\, play some games\, and have fun on your bike. \nEach student will be responsible for supplying their own working bike and a helmet. This class is geared towards 8-12-year-olds. Scholarships and bikes are available for those who need help.  Please fill out the scholarship application to apply. \nWith questions please email education@cwevergreenmtb.org. \nPrerequisites: Students are required to have attended a prior Evergreen camp or have been riding singletrack for 2+ years to enroll in this class. \nFor more information click here.
