SUMMARY:New Year Snowshoe Hike with Lake Wen. State Park!
DESCRIPTION:Lake Wenatchee State Park- Leavenworth\, WA\nJanuary 1st\, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. \nKick off the New Year with a FIRST DAY HIKE! Join volunteers and park staff for a brisk 1.3 mile snowshoe hike around our frosty winter wonderland as we ring in the New Year in the great outdoors! This is a fantastic hike for first-timers in snowshoes or adults with children. The hike is easy with varying views\, plenty of opportunities for snowball fights and memorable photos! A limited number of snowshoes are available to rent\, please call ahead to reserve a pair. \nFollowing the hike\, hot cocoa\, and light snacks will be available for participants in the North Reservation Booth. \nMeet at the North Reservation Booth. We will hike down to the river\, gently proceed upriver to the North Beach\, and then along the shore and back into the woods. Options to lengthen your hike are available via the “Water Works” trail\, once we depart from the North Beach. We suggest taking a snack break and a group photo here!
