SUMMARY:Botany Hike at Horse Lake
DESCRIPTION:This event is hosted by the Chelan Douglas Land Trust\nDate: Thu\, 04/14/2022\n\n\nTime: 9:00am – 2:00pm\n\n\nLocation\nHorse Lake Reserve Trailhead\n\n\n\n\nJoin Olivia\, CDLT’s Botanist\, for a mellow hike along the Old Ranch Road at Horse Lake Reserve. \nWe will aim to make it up to the western point of Glacier View trail\, where we hope to see snow douglasia in bloom. We may also see blooming balsamroot\, desert-parsleys\, serviceberry\, pussytoes\, brodiaea\, lupine\, springbeauty\, blue-eyed Mary\, yellow bells\, waterleaf\, prairie-star\, Oregon grape\, bluebells\, phlox\, currant\, and more. We will take a break around noon for lunch. No botanical experience needed; we will bring a plant list in case anyone is interested. We can walk and talk about plants\, restoration\, weed control\, and/or whatever the people are interested in. This event is for all ages. There is a carpooling option from the end of the pavement up to the trailhead\, please bring a mask if you plan to carpool. \nBefore you sign up\, we recommend you read our Outdoor Volunteer Event COVID Safety Protocol. \n*All work parties are weather and conditions dependent.
