SUMMARY:Grand Coulee Ice Bus Tour
DESCRIPTION:This event is hosted by the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center \nJoin Ken Lacy on a tour of the Moses Coulee and Waterville Plateau. \nDuring this tour\, we will learn about the lava flows seen in the coulee walls and landforms and the erosional features created by enormous glaciers and floods that occurred over 15\,000 years ago. These landforms include gulch fills\, more terraces\, volcanic dikes\, “haystack” rocks\, and even Turtle Rock. \nOn Saturday\, Oct. 21\, from 8:30-9 AM\, Lacy will provide a brief lecture in the Performance Hall of the museum before departure. Attendees will be picked up and dropped off at the museum from 9 AM to 5 PM. \nTickets are $90 for members and $125 for non-members. Registration is required and can be found here.

DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Mission Ridge Ski Team \nLocation: Wenatchee Golf and Country Club \nThe Bomber Wing Benefit Auction is our largest fundraiser of the year. Your support helps the Mission Ridge Ski Team by subsidizing our athletic programs and keeping tuition as low as possible for athletes. MRST is dedicated to quality training and a competitive experience for all levels of racers. Our coaching promotes athletic development from beginner to world class competitors. We strive to create a healthy competitive environment that includes character development and sportsmanship. Currently MRST trains 130+ athletes aging from 5 – 18 years with commitment levels that range from training one to five days per week. In 2022\, USSS named MRST a Silver Certified Club\, one of the highest honors possible. Silver certified clubs possess a heightened level of accountability to maintain and build upon areas of both strength and improvement\, to ensure the longevity and stability of the organization and to help\, through feedback and observation\, to grow the cumulative strength of clubs throughout regions and across the country. \nFor more information or for tickets click here.
