DESCRIPTION:Location: Leavenworth Fish Hatchery \nJoin the Wenatchee River Institute for a two-hour nature walk with one of our knowledgeable naturalists. Our walks are seasonally-based and offered throughout the year! \nYou will explore the outdoors\, learn about the natural and cultural history specific to Leavenworth with many scenic views along the way! You will learn about many topics including local plants and animals\, geology\, and the p’squosa (Wenatchi) people. \nDifficulty level: a ‘walk in the park’ (beginner level)\nNot fully ADA accessible \nWRI will provide snowshoes for all participants and registration is required. Join David Moskowitz\, wildlife biologist\, photographer\, author\, wildlife tracker\, educator and cast member of the acclaimed film\, Finding Gulo\, for an evening learning about the life history\, ecology\, and conservation of wolverines in our region! As co-founder of the Cascades Wolverine Project\, David and his team are working to recover and protect the wolverine population of the North Cascades. The event will include an introduction\, a screening of the film\, and will finish with a Q&A session. Hope to see you there!
