SUMMARY:Pateros to Bridgeport Birding Loop
DESCRIPTION:This event is hosted by the North Central Washington Audubon Society \nFebruary 17\, 2024\nPateros to Bridgeport Birding Loop \nMeet trip leaders Richard Scranton and Mark Johnston along Lakeshore Drive behind the Sweet River Bakery in Pateros at 08:00.  Day of trip phone number:  253-297-0705.  Beginning at Pateros\, we’ll spend several hours birding areas between there and Bridgeport in search of passerines\, raptors\, waterfowl\, and more. Please bring liquids\, lunch/snacks\, and dress for the weather. Participants should be able to walk at least two miles over uneven and likely snowy ground. DESCRIPTION:Come together and celebrate skiing with your friends on a tour of the best trails of the Methow Valley! Choose your distance: 20 km\, 30 km\, 50 km or 80 km. Lunch and buses provided. \nThe Tour of the Methow is held in honor of Lee Adams. Lee loved the outdoors and was passionate about cross country skiing in the Methow Valley. When he lost his life in a tragic accident on Mount Rainier his loved ones donated memorial funds to the Methow Valley Nordic Ski Educational Foundation. Those funds have been used to put benches in the Early Winters area of the trail system\, as well as to sponsor the Tour of the Methow. \nFor more information click here.

DESCRIPTION:Location: Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery \nBegin the year with new discoveries! Starting from the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery\, join Wenatchee River Institute naturalist guides on a one-mile snowshoe trail along beautiful Icicle Creek. We will learn about native wildlife and ecology along the way. What signs do we see along the trail that tell us what animals were there? How do the plants and animals survive winter? Even if this is your first time on snowshoes\, come along and enjoy this fun outdoor winter program!
