DESCRIPTION:This event is hosted by the North Cascades Institute \nClass Tuition: $10 \nDiscover practical life-saving survival skills that enhance your outdoor adventures with Jason Knight — the author of the bestselling book The Essential Skills of Wilderness Survival. Jason has consulted as a local wilderness skills expert for the Discovery Channel and has been featured on NPR. He provides custom survival training to a broad range of clients including the WA State Department of Ecology and the US Forest Service. \n\nTogether\, we’ll learn about the keys to effective natural shelter-building\, primitive water purification\, friction fire-making\, wild edibles foraging\, and other skills that will keep you alive in emergencies.
