DESCRIPTION:This event is hosted by the North Central Washington Audubon Society \nFebruary 24\, 2024  08:00 – 4:30PM \nWaterville Plateau and Bridgeport areas with Dan Stephens \nJoin Dan Stephens on an exciting day to the Waterville Plateau and Bridgeport Area on Saturday\, February 24th.  A wide variety of waterfowl and some late winter birds will be seen\, with possibilities including Lapland Longspur\, Northern Pintail\, Snow Bunting\, and Short-eared Owl. DESCRIPTION:Location: Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery \nBegin the year with new discoveries! Starting from the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery\, join Wenatchee River Institute naturalist guides on a one-mile snowshoe trail along beautiful Icicle Creek. We will learn about native wildlife and ecology along the way. What signs do we see along the trail that tell us what animals were there? How do the plants and animals survive winter? Even if this is your first time on snowshoes\, come along and enjoy this fun outdoor winter program!
