SUMMARY:East Wenatchee Porter's Pond Birding
DESCRIPTION:This event is hosted by the NCW Audubon Society \nSaturday  March 2\, 2024 8:00 – 10:00 AM\nEast Wenatchee Porter’s Pond with Joe Veverka \nJoin Joe Veverka for a couple of hours of birding at Porter’s Pond in East Wenatchee.  We will meet at the Apple Capital Loop Trail 19th Street Trailhead at 8:00 AM and walk along the Apple Capital Loop Trail and side trails looking for waterfowl and grebes on the river.  We expect to find several species of waterfowl as well as wintering sparrow and perhaps even some early arrive Violet-green swallows.  Walking should be fairly easy\, not exceeding two miles at a birder’s pace.  Bring binoculars\, good shoes or boots\, plenty of water\, and snacks.  Don’t forget a camera.
