DESCRIPTION:For intermediate to advanced runners\, join WenOut team member Marlene Farrell for early morning speed intervals to help runners who like to race or to stay in shape. Marlene and crew meet weekly on Wednesdays\, and location and time can vary. \nHowever\, for this one the group is meeting at PD Elementary at 6:30am. They will run a 3-4 mile warm up on a local trail and then we go to the PD track for intervals. They plan to do 2 x 1 mile with pretty full recovery in between\, and maybe throw in a 400 or two at the end. \nPlease rsvp by scrolling down and hitting the rsvp button. Thank you!  \n

DESCRIPTION:Location: Wenatchee River Institute\, 347 Division Street\, Leavenworth \nHosted by Wenatchee River Institute \nGo birding with knowledgeable WRI staff around the WRI campus! All birding skill levels are welcome. Need binoculars? We have loaner binoculars that you can borrow. \nThis is a great opportunity to learn about eBird\, the largest biodiversity-related community science project in the world\, and utilize it to record our observations of local wild birds. Total walking distance is ½ mile\, over a gravel path with two moderate hills. Come prepared for the weather. These walks will happen on the second Wednesday of each month for the whole year. Join us for as many as you can! \nTrail difficulty level: beginner\nTrail is wide enough for ADA access\, but trails are gravel\nBathrooms available at the start and end of the walk \nMeet outside the River Haus at 8am and plan to be finished by 9:30am. DESCRIPTION:Date: Wed\, 04/10/2024\n\n\nTime: 4:30pm-6:30 pm\n\n\nLocation\nSage Hills Trail\n\n\n\n\nJoin CDLT and Cici Asplund from the Wenatchee Valley Chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society for a Naturalist Walk\, on Wednesday\, April 10th. This 5-week series of Wednesday afternoon outings will take you to different areas in North Central Washington where you can connect to nature for FREE. A guided walk is offered for every event in the series. During the guided walk you will learn about the area’s plants\, wildlife\, and history. The event is open to all ages and will be led in both English and Spanish.  \n🌱The Sage Hills Trails are in Wenatchee off 5th street. This walk will be 2.4 miles and 245 feet of elevation gain on a single path dirt trail. DESCRIPTION:This event is hosted by the North Cascades Institute \nClass Tution: $10 \nIn part three of a four-part series of talks on bird biology\, naturalist David Lukas will introduce us to the joyful world of bird song. In this talk we will explore how and why birds sing\, and how we study bird songs as a way of trying to understand what birds are saying to each other.
