Join CDLT and CVCH on a Hike for your Health\, on Saturday June 15th. This 8-month series of Saturday morning outings will take you to different areas in North Central Washington where you can connect to nature for FREE. A guided walk is offered for every event in the series. Arrive anytime between 7am-9am to walk the trails and receive a raffle ticket entry to win amazing health focused prizes. The guided walk for this date will begin at 7:15am and end at 9:00am. During the guided walk you will learn about the area’s plants\, wildlife\, and history. The event is open to all ages and will be led in both English and Spanish. You do not have to participate on the guided walk to receive a raffle ticket entry.  \n🌱The temperature begins to warm in June\, we will start this walk at 7:00am. The Sage Hills Trails are in Wenatchee off 5th street. This walk will be 2.4 miles and 245 feet of elevation gain on a single path dirt trail. Únase a CDLT y CVCH en una caminata por su Salud\, sábado 15 de junio. Esta serie de 8 meses de salidas los sábados por la mañana los llevará a diferentes áreas del centro norte de Washington donde podrá conectarse con la naturaleza GRATIS. Llegue entre las 7:00am. y las 9:00am para caminar por los senderos y recibir un boleto para la rifa y ganar increíbles premios centrados en la salud. SUMMARY:Cyanotype Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an introduction to the creative art of Cyanotypes! Learn how to create blue photogram prints with this non-toxic antique photographic process. We will place found objects from nature (such as leaves and flowers) on sheets of paper coated with a light-sensitive solution. The images will be exposed by the sun and made permanent by rinsing with water. \n\n\n\nSheets of acid-free\, watercolor paper pre-coated with cyanotype solution will be supplied and all participants will be able to make several prints. This workshop consists of a brief explanation and demonstration of the process and then participants will make their own small series of cyanotype prints. This is an exciting and hands-on workshop. \n\n\n\nLinda has extensive experience in darkroom\, antique processes and digital photographic practice and instruction. She has exhibited her art nationally and internationally and has been published in print and web-based periodicals. Linda is currently a photography instructor at Indiana University South Bend and Wenatchee Valley College.
