SUMMARY:Naturalists on the River
DESCRIPTION:Join Wenatchee River Institute\, in partnership with Leavenworth Outdoor Center\, on a relaxing evening paddle down the Wenatchee River. This is a guided trip that will introduce you to the plants (flora) and animals (fauna) of our diverse river area (riparian zone). You will learn how to be a better observer of nature and be introduced to river safety and navigation. This is a great way to build your naturalist skills and confidence on the river. \n\n\n\nIncluded: Kayak or paddle board\, Life vest (PFD)\, transportation from WRI \n\n\n\nDifficulty level: Beginner to intermediate\, recommended you have basic swimming ability. \n\n\n\nCost: $60 non-member\, $50 member. Not a member? Find our “Membership” page under the Support tab! \n\n\n\nIf the cost is a barrier for you to participate\, go to the event link below and follow the “Financial Access Form” \n\n\n\nLimit: 10 participants \n\n\n\nAges: 8 and older\, an adult must accompany anyone 15 and younger.

DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for a hands-on way to positively impact our lands in just two hours? Do you like to get outside in the company of other like-minded folks? Consider signing up to join the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust for our Trail Work Party!  \n\n\n\nWhat? Volunteers will spread woodchips\, rake trails and do restoration. Two to four miles of walking is expected to reach the work site.  \n\n\n\nWhere? We will meet at the Jacobson Preserve access point and hike to the site. \n\n\n\nHow? – Sign up below!
