DESCRIPTION:End of the Season Dinner \n\n\n\nWho are the Plain Valley Adventure Women? \n\n\n\nPlain Valley Adventure Women (PVAW) seek to bring women together to explore\, connect\, improve their outdoor skills and enjoy the diverse activities our community offers\, in a fun and supportive environment.  PVAW support the Plain Valley Nordic Team (PVNT) through volunteering and program fees that are used to support the PVNT Scholarship Fund.  PVAW and PVNT are Plain Valley Ski Trails programs\, a community supported 501 (c)(3) non-profit. \n\n\n\nPVAW 2024 Summer Program Registration ($200.00) \n\n\n\n* All net proceeds of PVAW support the PVNT youth ski education programs that train year-round. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The presentation is “Understanding P’squosa History” and will be led by historian and author E. Richard Hart. He will be speaking on the history of local tribes and their fortitude to continue to advocate and push for their rights that were taken away from them. \nDate: Wednesday\, September 25th\nTime: 12:00pm-1:00pm\nLocation: Chelan-Douglas Land Trust Office\, 18 N. Wenatchee Ave.\nVirtual Option: Zoom Link coming soon  \nA light lunch will be provided or feel free to bring your own. \nAbout Richard: \nE. Richard Hart is a historian and expert in ethnohistorical and environmental historical research\, specializing in the history and rights of North American Tribes. As the former Executive Director of the Institute of the North American West\, he has made significant contributions to the field through his authorship and editing of eleven books\, including the acclaimed “Lost Homeland: The Methow Tribe and the Columbia Reservation.” Hart has provided expert testimony before the U.S. Congress and has served as an expert witness for Native American Tribes across the United States and Canada. His deep commitment to tribal history is further reflected in his long-term residence in Winthrop\, where he actively participated in the Methow Conservancy\, including a term as the nonprofit’s chair. Hart currently resides in Wenatchee\, continuing his dedication to the preservation and advocacy of Native American history. \n  \nLet us know if you will join us via zoom or in-person HERE!
