DESCRIPTION:Location: Saddle Rock Natural Area \nConnecting with nature aids our physical\, mental\, and emotional health. Join CDLT and CVCH on a Hike for your Health on Saturday\, October 12th. This 8-month series of Saturday morning outings will take you to different areas in North Central Washington where you can connect to nature for FREE. A guided walk is offered for every event in the series. Arrive anytime between 9am-11am to walk the trails and receive a raffle ticket entry to win amazing health focused prizes. The guided walk for this date will begin at 9:15 am and end at 11:00 am. During the guided walk you will learn about the area’s plants\, wildlife\, and history. The event is open to all ages and will be in English and Spanish. You do not have to participate in the guided walk to receive a raffle ticket entry.  \nThis is the final event of the Hike for Health Series\, at the iconic Saddle Rock Natura Area. After the hike at 10:45am we will begin the raffle for outdoor prizes. This walk will be 2 miles with 800 feet of elevation gain. Registration is not necessary to participate\, but it is appreciated. The class and field work will be taught and supervised by members of Evergreen’s professional trail staff. North Wenatchee Ave. SUITE 214-1 Wenatchee\, Wa.  \nField portion: No. 2 Canyon\, Martin Ranch Trailhead (Upper Parking Lot)\, Trail TBD \nSchedule (please plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can begin on time):\n\n\n9am – sign in\, introductions\, plan for the day \n\n\n9:15 am – Begin classroom slideshow presentation \n\n10:15 am – Break\n\n11:30 am – 12:00 pm – Lunch (Pizza provided by TREAD) \n\n\n12:30pm Meet at trailhead talk safety and work plan \n\n\n1:00pm  – Hike to worksite and begin demonstrations and work \n\n\n4pm – Gather up tools and hike out \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to bring and wear:\n\nWear layers of clothing appropriate for the weather. We work in the rain! Wear sturdy shoes appropriate for muddy\, uneven surfaces.\nWe will provide lunch. You should bring any snacks/drinks you want during the day.\nWe will provide trail tools\, safety glasses\, and gloves.
