SUMMARY:Field Work Party- VOLUNTEER! (Event 2)
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a hands-on volunteer work party focused on trail and habitat restoration!  \nYou will help plant native species to improve the health of our local lands. You may also prepare sites for planting\, mulch around new plants\, or help with general trail maintenance. \n\nWe will provide all the tools\, gloves\, and gear you’ll need\, along with water and snacks before and after the event.\nPlease wear sturdy work clothes and closed-toe shoes that are good for hiking and working outdoors.\n\n! Meeting Location: We will meet at the Jacobson Trailhead at 4pm (Address: 1811 Skyline Dr\, Wenatchee\, WA 98801) and will walk up 1 mile to our work location\, Saddle Rock East trail. \nRegistration is required! When you register\, you will get event reminder emails and updates. Please register below. \nAccessibility: The Land Trust is working to make all of our events as accessible as possible. DESCRIPTION:Leavenworth Winter Sports Club hosts: Singer\, Songwriter & Storyteller Curtis Roy Moore’s unique voice infuses\, American\, folk\, country and blues creating a unique experience full of stories from his life that will may you laugh and cry. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBorn in Pensacola\, Florida\, Curtis Moore is the son of a Navy Chief and has traveled and lived in several countries. He has worked as a crab fisherman in Alaska\, a shrimper in Florida and worked heavy civil construction in Northern Canada and the US. \nCurtis began playing guitar when he was in elementary school in Belgium when his father bough him his first guitar in 1973. After living in Europe his family moved to Leavenworth\, Washington where he was active in several music projects. \nHe has played in venues ranging from the bars of Key West\, Florida in the 80s to the coast of Canada where he was a founding member of the well-known rock and roll band\, Pacific Disturbance\, which played all over British Columbia and Alberta. \nToday Curtis Moore has developed into a powerhouse solo performer and a masterful front man who engages audiences with an authentic love of his craft. He spreads his love of music through his songs\, performance\, and his heartfelt connection with the audience. Once you have heard and seen Curtis Moore\, you will never forget him. \nHis first two influences were from a sailor in Europe who turned him on to what’s known as classic country and from a Scottish soldier who taught him how to rock and roll. \nHis major musical influences come from many artists\, mainly Ray Wylie Hubbard\, Jimmy Buffet\, John Prine\, Jason Isbell\, John Hiatt\, Jerry Jeff Walker\, Guy Clark\, Townes Van Zandt and all things Americana. \nEvent Link
