You could come up early for a coffee and then meet us at Ka Wham Café. We’ll take it to the snow from 10:00 am–12:00 pm\, leaving you plenty of time for afternoon laps with friends new and old. \nChoose the day you’d like to join. We encourage you to come multiple Tuesdays throughout the season to keep progressing and keep the stoke rolling. \nAfter your 5th lesson\, your next one is FREE. Bonus: Participation in our Friday Carve Club also counts toward your five. \nLift Access\nLift access not included. From covering insurance deductibles and structural repairs to the immense staff effort required\, the costs of recovery are substantial.\n\nOur wonderful partner\, Colchuck’s\, has stepped up to help us recoup these costs! They are hosting and preparing a special community dinner\, with ingredients generously provided by Sysco and US Foods.\n\nEvent Details\n\nRegistration: RSVP recommended at the red button above\nCost: By donation at the door (recommended $20 per person)\nDrinks: Available for purchase at the bar\nMenu: TBD\, but buffet style!\nEvery dollar raised at this dinner goes directly toward WRI’s storm recovery fund. DESCRIPTION:Wenatchee River Institute presents. \nLocation: Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery\n12790 Fish Hatchery Rd\, Leavenworth\, WA 98826 \nBegin the year with new discoveries! Starting from the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery\, join Wenatchee River Institute naturalist guides on a one-mile snowshoe trail along beautiful Icicle Creek. We will learn about native wildlife and ecology along the way. What signs do we see along the trail that tell us what animals were there? How do the plants and animals survive winter? Even if this is your first time on snowshoes\, come along and enjoy this fun outdoor winter program! Bring your enthusiasm for the wonders of winter and nature\, and make sure to dress in warm layers. \nProvided – Snowshoes\, gaiters\, and poles.\nLimit of 12 participants per group – Registration required for everyone in the party.\nDifficulty level – Beginner level\, all skill levels are welcome. Not ADA accessible due to non-plowed trails.\nMeeting location – Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery visitor center. \nCost – Pay What You Can: \nWe offer the Pay What You Can model in recognition that paying for education programs looks different for different people. \nThese prices are based on the costs to WRI to put on this program. Lorene Young Community Garden will be there to share about our garden & graciously provide seeds. Registration for the 2026 garden season will happen soon after the seed swap. If you are interested in having your own plot\, come down to learn more! \nThis year the Master Gardeners will also have a table set up with information and free seed starting containers\, so all you will need to start your seeds is soil and water. \nYou can stop by for a short while or set up a station and be there the whole time! Some seed envelopes and paper to make envelopes will be provided but if you can\, please also bring your own containers for seeds. \nInfo on how to save seeds\, which plants are easiest and hardest to save seed from\, companion planting guides\, and other helpful tips will be available.
