DESCRIPTION:Come on down to the Wenatchee River Institute to participate in a community cleanup of all the litter that accumulated over the winter along the riverfront trails.\n\nIt’s a great time to get outside to enjoy the beautiful spring wildflowers and birds and to work together to help out our natural areas. We will have gloves and bags available for volunteers! Meet at the WRI parking lot. We will walk along the trails and pick up any trash that we find. DESCRIPTION:Registration for teams is open! Click here or look for the link below to sign up to design and model your outfit! \nSave the date for Wenatchee River Institute’s 5th Annual Trashion Show! This fashion show will showcase wearable art made from recycled and repurposed materials. Come check out the creative pieces built by your neighbors! Team categories this year include: adult\, youth\, and family. Prizes are available for each category\, plus a People’s Choice Award where audience members will get to vote for their favorite outfit. \nThis event is held outside on the WRI River Haus Lawn. Bring snacks\, a picnic blanket\, or camp chair to make yourself comfortable. We will have some chairs available as well. Beer\, wine\, and non-alcoholic beverages will be for sale during this event. \nNo registration is required to attend this event as an audience member. Just show up and enjoy the fun! \nThis is a free event in partnership with the Wenatchee River Institute\, Sustainable NCW\, Eastside Rebuild\, and wonderful volunteers. You could come up early for a coffee and then meet us at Ka Wham Café. We’ll take it to the snow from 10:00 am–12:00 pm\, leaving you plenty of time for afternoon laps with friends new and old. \nChoose the day you’d like to join. We encourage you to come multiple Tuesdays throughout the season to keep progressing and keep the stoke rolling. \nAfter your 5th lesson\, your next one is FREE. Bonus: Participation in our Friday Carve Club also counts toward your five. \nLift Access\nLift access not included. We will be joined by Ryley Baxter of the YMCA\, who will be bringing microscopes for us to examine our “findings” from the activity. We’ll meet at the Castlerock Trailhead. We will be hiking the lower Castlerock loop with portable microscopes.
