DESCRIPTION:Ages: 6-12\nDate: July 9-13\nTime: 9am-4pm\nLocation: Squilchuck State Park\, Riverfront Rock Gym\nCost: $349 \nWhat could be better than biking in the morning and climbing in the afternoon? Nothing! Kids ages 6-12 are invited to join us for 5-full days of awesomeness riding their bike and climbing in a safe and supportive environment. \nMorning session: From 9am to noon each day participants will be learning mountain bike skills such as body position and balance\, braking\, climbing and descending techniques\, gearing and shifting\, front and rear wheel lifts\, cornering\, roll downs and other trail skills to help with success on single track trail riding. \nNo experience necessary. However\, each child is required to have a working bike and helmet. \nLunch and shuttle: Noon to 1pm participants will eat their lunch and be transported from Squilchuck State Park to Riverfront Climbing Gym by Wenatchee Shuttle Service. \nAfternoon session: From 1 to 4 p.m. participants will learn the basics of climbing in the gym. They will learn about climbing equipment\, proper knots\, how to belay\, climbing movement\, and how to stay safe in the gym. They will also learn climbing games to build friendships and teach teamwork. All rental gear is included with the camp. You will drop your child off each day at 9am at Squilchuck and picked your child up at 4pm at Riverfront Rock Gym. \nPlease pack your child lunch\, water bottle and sunscreen. DESCRIPTION:When:\nSaturday\, July 28 2018 \n\n\n\nOrganized by the Leavenworth Disc Golf Club\, the Mountain Town THROW DOWN will be played on the 18-basket disc golf course at Stevens Pass Mountain Resort. A portion of the registration fees will go to the Leavenworth Ski Hill Disc Golf Course Fund through the Leavenworth Ski Hill Heritage Foundation\, a 501c3 nonprofit organization\, which aims to build a world-class disc golf course in Leavenworth\, WA. \nThe course at Stevens Pass plays through wooded\, rocky\, and open terrain\, including several long downhill shots\, as you play on the snow-free ski slopes\, starting near the top of Hogsback chairlift\, playing towards Tye Mill chairlift\, then down past the Daisy chairlift\, and ending at the Base Area. It’s a challenging and fun course in one of the most beautiful settings in the state. DESCRIPTION:The first major cider festival in North Central Washington is coming to the charming\, historic town of Cashmere this summer. Presented by Cascade Farmlands\, The Big Chill offers an abundance of tastes from the region’s burgeoning cideries. \nParticipants will receive a tote bag\, commemorative glass and a dozen taste tokens. The town’s yummiest kitchens will be on site and the Cashmere Museum will offer a glimpse into the history of local orchards. \nStaged right next to Liberty Orchards\, home of Aplets and Cotlets\, come relax in the big “Chill Pavilion” complete with refreshing misters\, and soak up live music as the sun sets. \nNorth Central Washington is soon to be the Pacific Northwest’s leading cider region.  Discover why the apple and organic pear capitol of the world keeps getting more delicious!

SUMMARY:Geology Tour with Wenatchee Valley Museum
DESCRIPTION:Wenatchee to Roslyn Geology Tour\n\nAugust 11 @ 9:00 am – 5:00 pm\n$40 \n\n\n\nThe Wenatchee/Roslyn tour begins in Wenatchee and continues west on US-2/97 to look at the geology of the Wenatchee Valley.  Then the route will turn south on US-97 where the local geology (Ingalls Complex-green serpentine) and old town site of Blewett mine history will be discussed.  An additional stop further south along US-97 will be to look at the Swauk Formation conglomerate/sandstone and Teanaway Basalts (dikes). \nFrom the Blewett Pass area the trip will head south and west to Cle Elum and Roslyn where the coal mine history of the area will be discussed.  Lunch time will be provided in Roslyn to explore the local museum and eat.  A trip to the local cemetery where many factions of ethnic groups are buried. \nIn the afternoon the tour will include a stop at the Wild Horse Wind Farm (Renewable Energy Center) located east of Ellensburg\, Washington before returning to Wenatchee. \n$45\, $40 members
