Invertebrates\, especially insects\, take the wonderful products of photosynthesis that plants create and make them available to most of the animals that are part of the ecological web. All birds and many mammals would go extinct without native plants and their associated insects. DESCRIPTION:2026 Plain Valley Adventure Women’s Snowshoe Community Group\n10AM-12PM\, Wednesdays\n\nJanuary 7th through March 11th 2026 \nPVAW Mission Statement \nPlain Valley Adventure Women (PVAW) seek to bring women together to explore\, connect\, improve their outdoor skills and enjoy the diverse activities our community offers\, in a fun and supportive environment.  All the net proceeds of PVAW programs support the Plain Valley Nordic Team (PVNT) Ski Education Program. \nPVAW Snowshoe Community Group is led by volunteers. They donate their time to create a fun and inclusive outdoor experience for local women. \nThis 10-week program offers fun snowshoe hikes while exploring our beautiful surrounding area\, encouraging physical activity\, and nurturing relationships with local women.  These snowshoe hikes are rated easy to moderate with a pace that allows all ages and abilities to participate. \nPlease register here and you will receive a weekly email that contains the location for that weeks snowshoe and any other specifics you need to know before the event. \nThere is no registration fee for this program\, but a donation would be greatly appreciated! DESCRIPTION:Plain Valley Ski Trails offering ski clinics.\nEvery Saturday\, Dec-13- Feb 21\, 10am-12pm \nThese clinics are designed for kids between the ages of 6-12 yrs old. It is modeled after our midweek Devo Program (first layer ski clinic for elementary age kids). \n\nClinic Cost: Children 6-12yr $60 for 2 hours of FUN on skis Saturday’s 10am-12pm. Season $500 \nAll KIDS SKI FREE on Plain Valley Ski Trails\, BUT still need Trail Passes for Liability!  Please be sure to secure your ticket prior to the clinic at SkiPlain.com \nWhat’s Not Included: Ski Rentals: Both classic and skate ski packages are available at Plain Hardware\, conveniently located across from the ski trails in Plain. Please Note: If you are renting gear\, plan to arrive at least one hour early to allow time for proper sizing. \nImportant Clinic Location Information: We will meet at 10am at the Meadow Loop Trailhead by the Welcome Hut on the Plain Valley Ski Trails.
