DESCRIPTION:Meet at Walla Walla Point Park’s North parking lot (near the bathrooms) \nGo birding with staff from the Wenatchee River Institute by the Columbia River! All birding skill levels are welcome. Need binoculars? We have loaner binoculars that you can borrow. \nWe will enjoy birding this spring in Wenatchee on the second Thursday and in Leavenworth on the last Thursday of April\, May\, and June. \nTrail difficulty level: beginner. Walk will be on paved and grassy level pathways. DESCRIPTION:Join the Wenatchee River Institute for a two-hour Spring Saunter with one of our knowledgeable naturalists. Walk with us through Waterfront Park as summer returns to the valley. You will learn about the natural and cultural history of Leavenworth with many scenic views along the way! What are plants and animals doing as everything wakes back up after winter? \nLimit: 14 participants – Registration required\nDifficulty: Beginner\, up to two miles roundtrip. One short decline\, then flat. Trails are packed dirt and gravel.\nAccessibility: Not fully ADA accessible due to gravel trails \nCost – Pay What You Can: \nWe offer the Pay What You Can model in recognition that paying for education programs looks different for different people. \nThese price suggestions are based on the costs to WRI to put on this program.
