SUMMARY:Essentials for Backcountry Skiing-G3 & Scarpa
DESCRIPTION:Location: Arlberg Sports in Wenatchee\n\nEvent is free and refreshments will be provided. \nDoors open: 6:00 PM\nPresentation starts: 6:15 PM\n\nTransitioning from alpine skiing to the backcountry can be a rewarding but daunting endeavor. To help with the gear learning curve\, Arlberg Sports is hosting an evening with SCARPA & G3 Genuine Guide Gear to delve into the equipment required to transition from inbounds skiing and into the backcountry. \nTopics to be covered:\n• Traditional alpine skis VS backcountry skis\n• Different boot options available\n• Choosing the proper skins\n• Basic safety tools required \nAll participants will go home with a free G3 ski strap\, a key piece to your backcountry gear kit! \nThere will also be a silent auction benefitting El Sendero Backcountry Ski and Snowshoe Club. It’s a great chance to bid on some sweet outdoor gear from brands like SCARPA\, MSR – Mountain Safety Research\, Therm-a-Rest and Osprey Packs \nThis event will be largely focused on the gear required and not around avalanche and snow condition awareness. Check the NWAC or local avalanche website to find out more information on avalanche safety.\n

SUMMARY:e-Bike Burrito Ride
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Plug-In North Central Washington \nDate: Saturday October 21st from 10am-1pm \nLocation: Pybus Public Market charger station \nBecause “Pedal Assist” or e-Bikes are putting many people back on a bicycle we thought it would be fun to get together and share experiences. The “e-Bike Burrito Ride” is an informal meet up\, any brand of e-Bike is welcome\, and to be honest any bicycle is welcome. If you just want to see and maybe try an e-Bike there will be some e-Bikes available for that too. \nWe plan to meet up near the EV charger at the Pybus Market for some “meeting and greeting”\, then we can ride some if we get around to it. If not\, we will just talk then eat lunch at the South Restraunt which is in the Pybus Market. Even though the event has the word Burrito in it\, you can order anything you like! \nEventbrite tickets are free:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/e-bike-burrito-ride-tickets-37973788624 \nFacebook Event Site  https://www.facebook.com/events/346702345789348
