NCRL and CDLT will provide fun nature activities at the trailhead. Check out a nature backpack and nature books from the bookmobile.  Afterwards\, considering taking your own hike up the trail. \nNo need to RSVP but a parent must be present. All children will need their parent to fill out a liability release upon arrival. We’ll then hike back down the Jacobson Trail to our awaiting vehicles. \nMeet: We will park at the Jacobson Preserve trailhead area and get shuttled to the Saddle Rock Trailhead\, where we begin our hike. \nBring: Please bring water\, flashlight or headlamp\, hiking pole if needed\, and wear sturdy shoes to walk over uneven terrain. \nTotal hiking distance: 3 miles \nRSVP appreciated\, but not required. Registration includes custom race swag\, fully stocked aid stations (variety of Hammer Nutrition product\, Fruit\, PBnJ\, Cookies\, Crackers\, etc.)\, post race grub\, awards\, a great\, well marked race course and drawing from our great sponsors and much more! \nOur 3rd stop this year will be on a new (to us) venue outside Wenatchee. We’re teaming up with the folks in Wenatchee to bring you an Epic Granduro! \nChip Timing\nThis year\, we’ll be using chip timing! If you already have a chip\, use it (just let us know the number). If you don’t have one\, we’ll provide you with one for a $5 deposit. You can either turn it in after the race and get your money back or keep it for future races. \nFor more information click here.

SUMMARY:Kids Mountain Bike Race: Shred the Gnar
DESCRIPTION:Join Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and NW Epic Series Saturday\, June 29 and shred the gnar.  Kids\, ages 3-12 years old\, are encouraged to join the kid friendly race.  Day of registration only\, beginning at 9:30am.  Races will follow at 10:30.  There will be 3 race options for kids to choose from:  balance bike course\, short course (about 1 mile) and long course (around 2 miles).  The cost is $10 per person.  All race proceeds from the kid event will be donated to Evergreen Education to help promote youth mountain biking in the Wenatchee Valley.  This race is geared toward kids 3-12 years old.  Come join the fun! \nThis kids race is in conjunction with the Mission Granduro\, an Epic Race Series event.  Check out their website\, nwepicseries.com\, for more information regarding the Mission Granduro.  For questions regarding the kids race\, please email education@cwevergreenmtb.org
