SUMMARY:Echo Valley Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:This event is hosted by Evergreen Trails \nTo register or for more information click here. \nWe had such a fun time last year that we are continuing the tradition of TWO DAYS of Echo Valley in 2023. There will be a 1-mile kid’s race\, 10K\, half-marathon\, and 50K. Echo Valley remains an excellent race choice for many. The 1-mile kid’s race\, camping\, and location make it ideal for families\, while the 50k is a great course for a first-time 50K runner or someone wanting to set a 50K PR time. \nBased in the pristine wine country of Lake Chelan\, Echo Valley offers stunning views\, runnable single tracks\, heaps of sunshine\, and a retreat from everyday life! \nTo top off this weekend away in the mountains\, you can camp pre- and post-race. Take this time to reboot\, decompress from technology and reflect on the amazing training you have done. Come and share an amazing weekend with us; we promise you will head back to work Monday full of heart and strength of mind! See below for details on accommodations. \nThis race is also sponsored by Vin du Lac of Chelan\, one of the top Wineries in the region\, named “Winery of the Year” in 2010.

SUMMARY:Weed Warrior Knapweed Pulling
DESCRIPTION:Date\nTue\, 06/06/2023\n\n\nTime\n5:30pm-7:30pm\n\n\nLocation\nLower Sleepy Hollow Preserve\n\n\n\n\nThis event is hosted by the Chelan Douglas Land Trust\n\nAre you looking for a hands-on way to positively impact our lands in just two hours? Do you like to get outside in the company of other like-minded folks? Consider signing up to join the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust for our Weed Warrior knapweed pulls this spring! \nWhat & Where? – A weed hand-pulling volunteer project at our newly acquired Lower Sleepy Hollow Preserve. Sign up for one or more work party dates and times! \nWhy? – Our goal is to hand-pull knapweed as one element of a larger habitat improvement plan. By pulling the weeds before they flower and set seed\, we can leave the plants on-site with no need to bag them! \nWill it be fun? – Conversations can flow as we work in the shade of cottonwood trees\, listening to birdsong along the Wenatchee River. Consider inviting your friends or family members to join you for one or more of these outdoor work parties. Our time on-site will be limited to 2 hours. \nHow? – We will send you a follow-up confirmation email with full logistic details. \nThe youngest age is 5 years old – no upper age limit. Families welcome! \nContact Susan Ballinger if you have any questions.  susan@cdlandtrust.org \nTo register and for more information click here.
