DESCRIPTION:Easy 3 mi snowshoe to the lower junction to explore the newly designated Stemilt Basin Non-Motorized Snopark. \nParticipants looking for a longer trek with more elevation (6mi round trip with 1200ft gain) may elect to self-guide to Upper Wheeler Resevoir. \nThis outing will be to familiarize users with this amazing addition to Wenatchee’s non motorized winter use area; offering beginner to advanced winter hobbyists a large area to play in the snow. \n***Parking at this time is limited; please carpool or reach out to Robert Arnold to coordinate. Lincoln Park public parking on Methow Street is a great place to meet 30min prior to outing.

DESCRIPTION:Location: Wenatchee River Institute\, 347 Division Street\, Leavenworth \nGo birding with knowledgeable WRI staff around the WRI campus! All birding skill levels are welcome. Need binoculars? We have loaner binoculars that you can borrow. \nThis is a great opportunity to learn about eBird\, the largest biodiversity-related community science project in the world\, and utilize it to record our observations of local wild birds. Total walking distance is ½ mile\, over a gravel path with two moderate hills. Come prepared for the weather. These walks will happen on the second Wednesday of each month for the whole year. Join us for as many as you can! \nTrail difficulty level: beginner\nTrail is wide enough for ADA access\, but trails are gravel\nBathrooms available at the start and end of the walk \nMeet outside the River Haus at 8am and plan to be finished by 9:30am.
