DESCRIPTION:Join Wenatchee Outdoors and Chelan-Douglas Land Trust for a FREE Halloween hike up Castle Rock. \nRESCHEDULED \nMeet us at the Castle Rock trailhead\, we will start at 4:30pm and make a loop along the Castle Rock Trails. Don’t forget to bring those Trick or Treat bags there will be some treats along the way! \nTrail information: We will be walking less than a mile on compacted soil. The average slope is 12% and the trail width is 18-24in. The elevation gain is about 195 feet. \nNo registration is required. DESCRIPTION:Come join Chelan Douglas Land Trust for a hands-on volunteer work party focused on trail and habitat restoration!  \nYou will help plant native species to improve the health of our local lands. You may also prepare sites for planting\, mulch around new plants\, or help with general trail maintenance. \n\nWe will provide all the tools\, gloves\, and gear you’ll need\, along with water and snacks before and after the event.\nPlease wear sturdy work clothes and closed-toe shoes that are good for hiking and working outdoors.\n\n! Meeting Location: We will meet at the Saddle Rock Natural Area at 12pm and will walk up 1 mile to our work location\, Saddle Rock East trail. \nRegistration is required! DESCRIPTION:Go birding with staff from the Wenatchee River Institute at our campus by the Wenatchee River! All birding skill levels are welcome. Need binoculars? We have loaner binoculars that you can borrow. \nWe will enjoy birding this spring in Wenatchee on the second Thursday and in Leavenworth on the last Thursday of each month. \nTrail difficulty level: beginner\nTrail is wide enough for ADA access\, but trails are gravel\nBathrooms available at the start and end of the walk \nMeet outside the River Haus at 8am.
