DESCRIPTION:The Community Foundation of NCW is excited to host the 2nd annual Give NCW Turkey Trot\, Thanksgiving Day run in Wenatchee to kick off the Give NCW annual giving campaign!\n\n\n\nThe event will offer timed 5K and 10K options along the Apple Capital Loop Trail as well as an untimed\, fun kids race (in the boat launch parking lot). All proceeds from the event will benefit Give NCW nonprofit participants.\n\n\n\nFirst 750 registrants get a commemorative beanie! DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Riverfront Rock Gym in Wenatchee \nCome join RRG movie night of “Girls Gone Hueco” \nCost: $5 Entry \nGirls Gone Hueco is a film that features 5 female climbers from the U.S. and Canada converging on historic Hueco Tanks\, Texas\, to celebrate the fiery girl gang energy that naturally happens when you get a group of strong ladies together. Coming from different backgrounds\, the climbers each have a unique personality\, perspective\, and approach to climbing. The film will highlight those differences and show that there’s no one way to “be a climber.” With full-time jobs as a software engineer\, nurse\, marketing manager\, dog trainer\, and healthcare policy analyst\, these women are not pro climbers\, but they’ve dedicated their lives to getting after it and climbing hard boulder problems whenever they can. The film will also call attention to the Indigenous history of Hueco\, and how climbers can responsibly and respectfully interact with such sacred ground. Girls Gone Hueco isn’t just about showcasing rad climbs\, but also to show the world that women are stronger together than we are divided. But of course \,there will be plenty of impressive sending going on too!

SUMMARY:Inclusive Community Hike!
DESCRIPTION:We are excited for you to join us at an inclusive outdoor hike to Clara Lake on June 22\, specifically for our vibrant Latino community but this will also be a bilingual hike as well so that both native English speakers and Spanish speakers can attend. This is not just any hike\, but a unique opportunity for individuals of all ages\, from various walks of life\, to come together and connect with the beauty of the outdoors! \nThe hike\, scheduled to begin at 8 am (meet at the Mission Ridge parking lot) and conclude around 11 am\, will be followed by a community celebration featuring a BBQ (Carne Asada) at Lincoln Park in Wenatchee (the small picnic shelter). We are proud to partner with La Pera Radio Station to promote the event\, and Mr. Rafael Aguilar\, El Tio Tony\, will be joining us to capture the spirit of the day in a video. We anticipate a significant turnout\, making this a truly memorable and exciting day for all. Please RSVP below so we can figure out how many are attending.  \n
