The Salish Sea is one of the world’s most magnificent inland seas. Shared by Washington State, British Columbia and dozens of independent Tribes and First Nations, this 17,000 square kilometer ecosystem holds wonders beyond imagination.

Some of the world’s greatest animals call this place home: the world’s largest oceanic predator, largest burying clam, largest octopus, largest chiton, tallest anemone, and so much more.

It shapes our local climate, puts food on our table, and is a billion-dollar driver of our regional economy.

Unfortunately, humans have been systematically altering this place for hundreds of years. Getting people to know and connect to the Salish Sea are critical first steps towards protecting it.

Come learn the secrets of this magical place. Be inspired and feel hopeful by hearing about local restoration success stories. And maybe most important, learn what you can do to be a part of taking care of one of the greatest places on earth!
