Since 2005, Wenatchee Outdoors has been a 501(c)3 non-profit organization striving to be the trusted hub that connects our outdoor community to information, outings, events, advocacy and each other. The organization is focused on creating and promoting educational guide content, developing a community of outdoor enthusiasts of all types, and, in 2023, advocating for the preservation of the Stemilt Basin Winter Recreation Area for non-motorized winter use.

MISSION:

Inspire, guide, and connect our outdoor community.

VISION:

Be the trusted hub connecting our outdoor community to information, outings, events, advocacy and each other.

The primary goals of the organization fall into the three primary categories below:

Education

WenOut guidebooks save you time in your search for that perfect trail for mountain biking, hiking, skiing, trail running, and so much more. We have over 700 guidebook posts with filters based on ability-level, family-friendly, dog-friendly, accessibility and location.

Advocacy

Each year Wenatchee Outdoors determines where our advocacy efforts will be directed for the year. In 2023 our focus is expanding and protecting parts of the Stemilt Basin for non-motorized, winter recreation. This includes collaboration with Stemilt Basin land managers and users.

Community

In addition to connecting residents and visitors to the Wenatchee Valley area with the great outdoors, we also connect them to each other. Monthly public meetings on the 1st Tuesday and an upcoming section of the website devoted to facilitating member-led outings and adventures are part of how WenOut is striving to build a strong sense of community with our friends and neighbors!
