Everywhere we turn, this place calls us back to wonder. The Columbia's steady current, the balsamroot on the hillsides, the rustle of aspen leaves in the mountains. For some of us, these are childhood memories. For others, they are discoveries still fresh and new. Together, they are reminders that this valley is more than where we live. It's part of who we are. Wenatchee Outdoors is here to celebrate that truth: We live here.
Wenatchee Outdoors was founded 20 years ago to create and promote educational guide content, develop a community of outdoor enthusiasts of all types and advocate for the preservation and responsible use of our outdoors spaces.
Our guidebook features outdoor activities in town, throughout the valley, and even up to 2 hours away. You can filter posts by location, ability level, dog-friendly, family-friendly, and handicap-accessible.
Smell the strong scent of the ponderosa pines, hear the birds chattering and watch as the sky blue darkens, ever so slightly, as morning turns to day.
Hear the quiet of the afternoon forest, and at a bend in the trail, close your eyes for a moment and just… be still.
Nod to your partner and hear the white noise of distant traffic mixed with the stillness of the crag and the reassuring clang of your climbing gear.
Feel the chill of the crystal clear water and hear the quiet calm of your board gliding over the river.
