What makes driving State Route 20 through the North Cascades so spectacular? Why are the river canyons cut so deeply and the spires of mountains so jagged and sharp? What makes the rocks of the North Cascades so unique?
Join Gina Roberti on a virtual tour of the diverse geology to engage with stories of the landscape that transcend the human lifetime. Develop a new lens for interpreting the roadside geology and a deeper appreciation for the complex geologic stories written in the rocks.
This class will focus on the geology visible from several roadside pullouts along WA State Route 20 in North Cascades National Park.
