Elderberry: Syrup and natural watercolor workshop
October 13th – 1:00-3:30pm

In celebration of the Elderberry’s healing berries and flowers we are going to learn about the medicinal properties and uses through an introductory syrup making class and learn how to how to paint with the juice of the berries.
Sarah Michels with Infuse Organics is hosting this amazing workshop in her studio. She is an expert in creating natural products and will guide us in the basics of how to use Elderberry as a syrup. We will look at the fresh and dried berries, discuss the science of creating a plant based medicine and create our own class syrup.
Amber Zimmerman of Sip & Paint will guide us in an introduction to watercolor techniques and how to paint with naturally gathered pigments. We will paint with the juice of the elderberries and other local plants to create a bear in the landscape watercolor painting.
We will have time for elderberry tea & cookies too! You will leave with fresh jar of syrup and your watercolor art.
