Why are the river canyons cut so deeply and the spires of mountains so jagged and sharp? What makes the rocks of the North Cascades so distinct and famous around the globe?
Join Gina Roberti on a virtual tour of the diverse geology of North Cascades National Park to learn about the geologic story of this place and how it has been interpreted over time. Develop a new lens for interpreting the rocks around you and a deeper appreciation for the complex geologic history of this landscape.
This class will focus on the geology of several hiking destinations and overlooks in North Cascades National Park.
