Richard Waitt and Jim O’Conner of the United States Geological Survey (USGS), two of the preeminent experts on the Missoula Floods, will give a field trip on Saturday, September 22, 2018. The exact route is still under development but will be within the Wenatchee, Washington vicinity. Topics to be included will be Missoula and other floods and the relationship down the Columbia River valley, Moses, and Grand Coulees. History of the Okanogan glacial lobe of the Cordilleran Ice Sheet will also be highlighted.
