Ice Age Floodscapes of the Pacific Northwest

April 13, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Zoom Lecture: The Wenatchee Valley Erratics of the Ice Age Floods Institute will begin its first series of programs in more than year on Tuesday April 13 at 7:00 PM with Bruce Bjornstad presenting “Ice Age Floodscapes of the Pacific Northwest.” The talk highlights Bruce’s new book by the same name. Using illustrations with descriptions and geologic interpretations of mostly aerial photographs, he will show the power and magnitude of repeated Ice Age floods in the Pacific Northwest as recently as 14,000 years ago. The book focuses on outburst megafloods from glacial lakes Missoula, Columbia and Bonneville.
