Reducing Plastic Use & Waste

June 10, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Reducing Plastic Use and Waste with Jana Fischback, Executive Director of Sustainable Wenatchee

Come out to Wenatchee River Institute’s Red Barn Mon., Jun. 10th, 7pm to 8pm, and learn how we can reduce the use of plastic and contributing to plastic waste in our day-to-day lives. Fishback will empower us to make even the small changes that can translate into making big differences.

Sustainable Wenatchee helps to promote a culture of environmental stewardship in the Wenatchee Valley through education and inspiration. To achieve their mission, stories are shared of other community members making a difference, classes and workshops are made available, and motivation is offered so that practical changes can be made in daily lives.

This is the third of four classes in WRI’s sustainability series wherein topics have ranged from the hidden realities of recycling, zero-waste and sustainability, and DIY shampoo and deodorant –no harmful ingredients, no plastic containers!

Join us in the Red Barn on the 10th and become motivated to make a change, to make a difference, and to tread more lightly! Doors open at 6:30pm for community social and no-host refreshments. For more information, please contact Rachel at rbishop@wenatcheeriverinstitute.org or call (509)548-0181, x3.
