Hosted by Chelan Douglas Land Trust
Join us for an afternoon of planting native shrubs at the new, not-yet-open-to-the-public Kenzie’s Landing trailhead. Volunteers can expect moderate work and walking 0.25 mile from the parking area to the planting location along a gravel road. Planting will require digging and bending to plant shrubs while standing on uneven surfaces – a few of the planting spots are on a steep hillside. This is a great activity for kids! Please bring work gloves, water, layers of clothing appropriate for the weather on site, close-toed shoes, and a planting tool if you have a favorite. The Land Trust will bring a first aid kit, tools, snacks, and hot beverages. If you have dietary restrictions, please plan to bring your own snacks.
