Weed Warrior Knapweed Pulling

June 7 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Date
Time
9:00am-11:00am
This event is hosted by the Chelan Douglas Land Trust

Are you looking for a hands-on way to positively impact our lands in just two hours? Do you like to get outside in the company of other like-minded folks? Consider signing up to join the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust for our Weed Warrior knapweed pulls this spring!

What & Where? – A weed hand-pulling volunteer project at our newly acquired Lower Sleepy Hollow Preserve. Sign up for one or more work party dates and times!

Why? – Our goal is to hand-pull knapweed as one element of a larger habitat improvement plan. By pulling the weeds before they flower and set seed, we can leave the plants on-site with no need to bag them!

Will it be fun? – Conversations can flow as we work in the shade of cottonwood trees, listening to birdsong along the Wenatchee River. Consider inviting your friends or family members to join you for one or more of these outdoor work parties. Our time on-site will be limited to 2 hours.

How? – We will send you a follow-up confirmation email with full logistic details.

The youngest age is 5 years old – no upper age limit. Families welcome!
