Don’t get stranded in the wilderness with an injury! What do you need for emergencies when help is delayed by hours or days? In this course you will learn what to pack, how to move a victim (building stretchers, etc.) water rescues, tourniquets, possible wilderness injuries, teamwork (who makes the decisions) and prolonged patient care. This American Red Cross course is appropriate for the seasoned wilderness travelers as well as casual recreationists. This is a Mountaineer Oriented First Aid (MOFA) course. There are two registration options: Certifying (Adult CPR and Wilderness First Aid) and Participant Only (full participation but no certifications). 16 hours.
