Red Barn Event: Alpine Rising

This event is hosted by the Wenatchee River Institute Red Barn Event: Alpine Rising - Monday, March 18th from 7:00-8:00pm. Mountaineers Books author Bernadette McDonald will join us in the Red Barn for a presentation on her book "Alpine Rising." She covers the rarely told stories of the often-overlooked local climbers and sherpas summiting the world's tallest peaks. Join WenOut team member Thom Schroeder on a family friendly hike of the lower Jacobson Trail. Park at the W.R.A.C. (against the fence side) walk to the trailhead with the kiosk to meet up. Look for wildflowers blooming including Arrowleaf Balsamroot, Lupine, Sagebrush Buttercup, Blue Bells, Yellow Bells and more! Hike around the lower loop of the Jacobson Preserve trail.
