Horse Lake Restoration Planting

Hosted by Chelan Douglas Land Trust Join us for an afternoon of planting native grasses at Horse Lake Reserve. Volunteers can expect light/moderate work and walking 0.5 mile from the parking area to the planting location, elevation change of 100 feet (an optional planting location is 1-1.5 miles with an elevation change of 200-250 feet). Success and Tragedy on Howse peak: The last climb of David Lama, Hansjorg Auer, and Jess Roskelley

Location: Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center On April 16, 2019, three climbers went missing on Howse Peak in the Canadian Rockies. Two had received at least one prestigious Piolet d’Or international mountaineering award, and the third nominated multiple times. All were members of the elite North Face athlete team. Horse Lake Trail Maintenance
