Bavarian Cup Cyclocross
Date and Time: September 21st at 12pm September 22nd at 10am NW cyclocross racing is back in the Wenatchee Valley this September! The NW Cup Series is bringing a weekend of racing back to Ski Hill in Leavenworth this September 21-22 and we hope to see you out giving racing a try or just heckling and enjoying the spectacle. Join us on Thursday, September 19th from 3 - 6 PM for brush removal at Horse Lake Reserve. This could involve hiking 1-3 miles and using hand tools such as loppers and hand saws along the way. CDLT will provide instruction, snacks, water to refill your own bottle, gloves and tools. Please bring a water bottle, and wear clothing you can get dirty, including sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Join Leavenworth Mountain Association and the US Forest Service to clear brush on the trail from Icicle Road to the Snow Creek Wall Junction. This trail is in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, so we will be using hand saws and loppers. Power tools are illegal. The trail has become quite overgrown in the past several years and needs some love.
