Join Olivia, CDLT’s Botanist, for a mellow hike along the Old Ranch Road at Horse Lake Reserve.
We will aim to make it up to the western point of Glacier View trail, where we hope to see snow douglasia in bloom. We may also see blooming balsamroot, desert-parsleys, serviceberry, pussytoes, brodiaea, lupine, springbeauty, blue-eyed Mary, yellow bells, waterleaf, prairie-star, Oregon grape, bluebells, phlox, currant, and more. We will take a break around noon for lunch. No botanical experience needed; we will bring a plant list in case anyone is interested. We can walk and talk about plants, restoration, weed control, and/or whatever the people are interested in.
