Community Celebration June 29, Wenatchee River Institute and Cascade Garden Club

Leavenworth –Wenatchee River Institute (WRI) and the Cascade Garden Club will be hosting a Community Celebration and Open House at WRI’s Barn Beach Reserve property, 347 Division St. in Leavenworth, Sat., June 29 from 4 – 5:30pm. Food – Fun – Free!

What do you get when you cross passionate gardeners, skilled environmental educators, enthusiastic volunteers and minds eager to learn, all in a beautiful outdoor setting that abounds with nature? Find out firsthand on the 29th! Stroll WRI’s beautiful Barn Beach Reserve property and view the colorful gardens with Cascade Garden Club members available to answer your plant and gardening questions. Saunter along the campus trails to take in the river and mountain views while participating in a fun and informative scavenger hunt.

Find out more about who we are, what we do, and what’s around the bend. Learn about the rich history of Wenatchee River Institute’s Barn Beach Reserve property, the E. Lorene Young Haus and River Haus, and the Red Barn’s green, LEED certification.

All ages are welcome, so bring the kids. Activities for the young (and young at heart) will include ladder ball, chalk drawing, hula-hoops, discovery, and more! Light fare and sweet treats will be served along with beer from Icicle Brewing Company and lemonade. Mark your calendars for June 29, rain or shine, and come out to celebrate community with us!
